For years we have managed mutually beneficial relationships with Second Wind members who do not have the in-house capabilities to bring client websites to life. By working together we have empowered these agencies to offer a valuable service to their clients. Today, as we launch our new and improved Ed.it™2 Content Management System, we’re eager to affirm our desire to work with you and to offer you a hands-on demo of Ed.it™2.
 
For years, as part of his Consider This series, Tony Mikes has talked about partnering - one Second Wind firm with another - to offer services to other member firms. In Tony’s words:
“. . . Many firms, particularly ad agencies. . .don’t have the first idea of how to integrate or build websites, or where to find the help to do it. Many end up partnering to move forward in the web world, but partnering can have a lot of downside for the typical agency. Issues include who owns the relationship with the client, and how the finances flow; can the agency place a markup on the partner’s services or must they bill separately for their part of the assignment?” 
As a long-time Second Wind member we continue to work hard to make OffWhite “the easiest Second Wind partner to work with”. So, in Tony’s words, consider this:
  • Q: Who owns the relationship with the client? A: You do. It’s your client. 
  • Q: How do the finances flow? A: From the client to you. You pay us. You can mark-up the services; we work with you to create ample room to add an equitable mark-up. We want your client to be happy with you; we want your client to look to you for value. And we want you to come back to us again for other clients. 
  • Q: Can you help us with sites that are already built? A: Yes, we can fix broken sites, we rescue stranded sites, we can build from your design, and we can add browser-based content management to many existing sites. 
  • Q.  What if we design the site? Website designs impact the technical and utility functions of the site before it’s built. If is important for you to understand the consequences – if any – of your design decisions. We offer assistance along the way.
